Updates for June 5, 2026

Run Raster from an agent — no account required

We've rounded out the API so an AI agent can use Raster end to end, and added a no-signup path so a new user can go from zero to uploaded photos before they ever create an account. Everything works the same across MCP, REST, and GraphQL.

What's new:

  • A complete tool set. Agents can now create organizations and libraries, rename libraries, look up the current identity with whoami, fetch a single asset, and delete to trash — alongside the existing list, search, upload, and tag tools.
  • Start without an account. Spin up a library and upload anonymously, then claim it later from your settings — the claimed API key shows up where you'd expect, ready to reveal, copy, or revoke.
  • A machine-readable API. We now serve an OpenAPI 3.1 spec at /openapi.json, generated from the same schemas the API validates against, so codegen and tooling can discover the full surface without drift.
  • Built-in discoverability. raster.app/llms.txt and our .well-known endpoints route agents straight to the docs, the MCP server, and the no-account quickstart.

Raster is the modern DAM for humans and agents.

Store, organize, search, transform, connect, and ship visual assets from one focused system built for teams that move.
